Supervision is a critical component of clinical training. Since 1993, when I was appointed a Training and Supervising Psychoanalyst in the UNC-Duke Psychoanalytic Training Program, I have supervised and provided consultation for a wide range of clinicians.
For many years, I have supervised psychoanalytic candidates; I’ve also supervised students in the Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Program of the NC Psychoanalytic Society, beginning and advanced Psychiatry Residents in the UNC-CH Psychiatry Department, as well as established clinicians in the community who wish to enhance their own ongoing practice.
Additionally, I have consulted more briefly with clinicians, to assist them in solving perplexing clinical problems.
I am available for supervision and consultation with both trainees and established clinicians. I aim to make the supervisory and consultative process a realistic and affordable option for those who wish to expand or refine their clinical skills.
